Apply to join the High School Leadership BG Class of 2027-2028!
High School Leadership is a seven-month youth leadership-training program with the mission of introducing high school aged youth to their community while fostering leadership abilities. While today's primary focus remains on tomorrow's leaders, this program consists of fewer lectures and is more interactive - using approaches much like those employed in today's classroom. The program includes students from Bowling Green High School, who must go through an application process, and be recommended by school faculty and administrators.

Important Program Highlights:
- Sessions are held during the school day, one day each month, for seven months (October through April).
- You are responsible for completing all BGHS class assignments and requirements missed while participating in the program.
- This is a highly competitive opportunity, with class size limited to 12 junior and senior students.
- Participants are expected to conduct themselves as leaders at all times.
- Missing a session will result in automatic dismissal from the program.
- A graduation ceremony is held at the conclusion of the program to honor participants.
- More than 300 students have graduated from High School Leadership BG.
- Completion of the program is a valuable addition to resumes and college or employment applications.
- There is no cost to participate!

As a leadership class, you will be participating in a service project to create a positive change in the Bowling Green Community. It is expected that students will work together as a cohesive group and are respectful of each person’s ideas and perspectives. You can be creative and take this project in any direction, so long as the community need is being addressed and met. While you work on your class project, share any working documents and images with communications@bgchamber.net!
