Listen to Veteran Herbert Dettmer from Bowling Green American Legion Post 45 who recited “May and a Mother Wept” at the Memorial Day Ceremony at Oak Grove Cemetary Monday.
The master of ceremony was Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) Greg Robinette. Wood County Common Pleas Judge Matthew Reger delivered the keynote address. The National Anthem was performed by the Bowling Green High School Band. Vocalist Evvie Van Vorhis sang “God Bless America” and “America the Beautiful.”
Thanks to all who turned out during the parade and at the ceremony to honor the memory of those who made the “ultimate sacrifice” in service to our country.
