It’s National Hospital Week, Clint talks with Stan Korducki, the President of the Wood County Hospital, about their 75th Anniversary. Stan also talks about the 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗧 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿! The Leadership Bowling Green (LBG) Class of 2026 recently announced a community service project, Pickleballin’ for a Good Cause, that will take place SATURDAY, May 30th from 9am to 5pm at the Bowling Green Community Center located at 1245 W. Newton Rd in Bowling Green. This year’s Leadership class members Angie Rumer and Ashley DeLeon tell Clint about this family friendly event.

It’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life time this weekend and Brian Gibson, Senior Development Manager for the American Cancer Society, visits with Clint for a last invitation to join in the fun and fundraising for a wonderful cause.

Faith stops in the chat with Clint and ask for help getting the word out about this Saturday, May 16th American Red Cross Blood Drive. Faith shares that this drive is sponsored by First Christian Church and will take place in the Fellowship Hall at 875 Haskins Rd.

The Well Health & Fitness at 1099 N Main in Bowling Green is hosting a FREE youth athlete combine on May 20th here at the gym for any 7th–12th grader in BG! Owner Sam Beaver gives Clint all the details about this event which will give each child a one-hour evaluation and give them guidance and goals to work on this summer.

Honoring the generosity of BGSU alumni and supporters, trustees approved the naming of various academic spaces, at Friday’s meeting, including the Mary Ellen Mazey Laboratory. Following two years of extensive work, Bowling Green State University held a ribbon-cutting dedication for the new, state-of-the-art Engineering and Innovation Center. Clint shares comments from many of those in attendance, including Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, Dr. Rodney K. Rogers – BGSU President and former BGSU President Mary Ellen Mazey.

The project manager for the new Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio High School under construction on Poe Rd, Brian Swope, shares his monthly progress report. The Rudolph Libbe Senior Project manager reviews with Clint how the process was going to proceed, big picture, until the new school is ready for student in the fall of 2027 and also revealed they are several weeks ahead of schedule!

Clint chats with Marissa Kolhoff to share the good news that The Wood County Museum was recognized with two prestigious awards from the Ohio Museums Association (OMA) for its exhibit video, “For Service & Support: Creating an Accessible Community.” The museum received a Gold Visual Communication Award as well as the program’s highest distinction, the Best in Show Visual Communication Award, honoring exceptional creativity in museum digital marketing.
