The Wood County Planning Commission reviewed 5 applications during Tuesday night’s meeting for $310,000 in funding for PY 2026 CDBG Project Applications. Applications were for projects from the Ability Center, Bloomdale, Custar, Portage and Walbridge with Custar, Portage and the Ability Center receiving support. The Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Board agreed unanimously at Tuesday night’s meeting to increase the amount of this November’s property tax levy to offset rising costs, new facilities that have come online and increased participation in the many programs they now offer. Voters will decide on a 5-year renewal at 2 mills plus an additional .95 mills.

For the 6th straight year, folks will be gathering on Eberly Ave. and surrounding porches for this year’s Porchfest Bowling Green, OH!
