Dusty Sonnenberg from the Ohio’s Country Journal and Ohio Ag Net spoke to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club – Ohio Thursday about the many challenges that farmers are facing in 2026.

Clint chats with project manager Brian Swope from Rudolph Libbe Friday morning to learn about the progress on the new High School now under construction for Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio.

Clint chats with Jim Witter from the Wood County Park District about the maintenance going on now at the Slippery Elm Trail and the resurfacing project for the entire trail that will happen this spring. The main purpose of this visit though was to preview this weekend’s “Wild Lights” FREE Family event happening at the W. W. Knight Nature Preserve this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 5-8.

Wood County continues to be in the ‘High” category for respiratory illness, Clint asks Wood County Health Department Deputy Health Commissioner Rachel Aescliman to join Katlin Medjesky, Health Department Community Outreach Coordinator, to talk about current illness trends and vaccinations.

Clint chats with Dr. Carrie Hamady, chair of the Department of Public and Allied Health in the BGSU College of Health and Human Services, about the nutritious ways we can care for ourselves and others to prevent illness overall or help lessen its effects.

Clint chats with new Board President, Dr. Nancy Orel, plus Executive Director Alisha Nenadovich after the board unanimously voted to ask the Wood County Commissioners to place a renewal of the existing 1% property tax levy on the ballot in November for operating expenses. According to Orel the 1-mill levy makes up 73% of the annual budget for the eight senior centers in the county, for the meals delivered to seniors’ homes across the county, and for various programming to serve Wood County seniors. Orel said that Federal funding covers just 7% of the budget.

Clint visits Bowling Green, OH Police Division to ask about the pedestrian vs vehicle incident reported this afternoon and it turns out it was a FALSE report. In the meantime, drivers should always use caution near crosswalks.

During her chat with Clint, Pam Conlin shares it had been an absolute “honor and privilege”‘ to serve Bowling Green State University for the past nearly eight years. Pam, the former Vice President of University Advancement and President & CEO of BGSU Foundation, Inc. stops in for a visit after spending her last day in that role last Friday. She reflects on her team’s accomplishments in bringing millions of dollars in scholarships to support thousands of students achieve their dreams of a college education.

During Clint’s visit Wednesday morning with Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio Superintendent Dr. Ted Haselman he mentions January is school board recognition month and wants to honor the January staff member of the month, Jody Flick, for her 24 years of service to the district.
