A new bi-annual budget sign by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine last night and the administrations initiative to find funding for 2 new fire stations and renovations to the Bowling Green, OH Police Division building were just 2 of the topics Clint discusses with City of Bowling Green, Ohio Mayor Mike Aspacher.

Chris & Belinda from Bates Recycling called Clint to give us the final total of funds raised for this year’s aluminum can recycling program. Drumroll please… Listen as Belinda shares with Clint, this year they raised over $1,500 from the can donations and Chris said that they were going to MATCH THE TOTAL!!

The summer schedule includes a wide range of programs for visitors of all ages, including returning favorites along with programs new to the public show lineup. Shows will be presented on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. from July 10 through July 27.

Each quarter the Wood Lane – Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities is recognizing a provider that has been nominated for their extraordinary care and compassion to the care they provide for individuals served. DeMare said the city has established a “fee or penalty” to homeowners who have solar generated power supplied to their homes and was one of five members of the climate action committee for BG Song that spoke before this past week’s Board of Public Utilities meeting.

June is National Men’s Health month, this morning Clint visits with Tyler Briggs, epidemiologists at the Health Department, who has been working on a few projects, including taking a big-picture look at men’s health in our community by digging into data on mental health, suicide, and unintentional drug overdoses. Individuals falsely claiming to represent the district are contacting area businesses and offering advertising space in our “Progress Reports.”
