The folks at the Wood County Health Department are closing out the month of June with the celebration event on Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Wood County Committee On Aging.

Dr. Ted Haselman, Superintendent of Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio, visits with Clint this week to recap his recent tour of the new high school construction now well underway.

With the 2026 Wood County Fair just over a month away, Clint asks Paul Perry, Senior Fair Board President and Laura Westgate, Fair Manager, to join him for an update as preparations continue. They also touched on the upcoming BG Boom Festival & Fireworks event at the Fairgrounds on July 3rd!

Members of the Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio Board of Education plus the local media got a tour of the new High School construction before Tuesday’s board meeting. According to Project Manager Brian Swope from Rudolph Libbe Group, the 155,000 square foot facility is on budget and on time for opening to students in the fall of 2027. Great to catch up with Chris Berger, Petroleum Sales Specialist at Legacy Farmers Cooperative, on this morning’s show. Chris and Clint talk about how it looks like we may have a resolution in as far as peace in the Middle East and how will this affect the market at Legacy Petroleum. Chris and Clint also discuss what do additives do for lubricants, who to call if someone were to have a question about oil or lubricants and more.

Clint discusses the $700,000 in support of the Bowling Green Law Enforcement Education and Training Center that Rep. Ghanbari and Ohio Senator Theresa Gavarone helped to secure in the State Capital Budget for the project. They also share their thoughts on the passing this past weekend of a dear friend and leader in the Ohio Veterans Community, Dave Ridenour.

Clint shares their conversation about her career, the good days and bad days and why she wanted to be a police officer 7 years ago, and a detective for the last 3.

Local artist and Bowling Green State University Grad Taylor Vanek was autographing copies of her latest work at Arlyn’s Good Beer Thursday. Taylor’s design was chosen for the poster representing the 2026 Black Swamp Arts Festival, Clint was there to congratulate her and get her thoughts.

At this month’s Wood County Health Department Board meeting it was unanimous to appoint Rachel Aeschliman, deputy health commissioner, as interim health commissioner. The vote came after the board accepted the resignation of Ben Robison, who served as county health commissioner for almost six years, and took a position at the Ohio Department of Health. Clint chats with Rachel about her appointment.
