Kim Roessner from the BG Women’s Club chats with Clint this morning to tell us why you’ll see lots of purple ribbons on lamp posts in Downtown Bowling Green SID this weekend. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Clint talks with Kim about that initiative plus other events this fall put on by the GFWC Women’s Club like the Holiday Arts & Craft sale.

Lieutenant Matthew Geer, Ohio State Highway Patrol Bowling Green Post commander, presents a Certificate of Recognition to a good Samaritan for his actions in potentially saving the life of a young girl after she was struck by a vehicle on state Route 25 this past July. Logan Phillips took lifesaving action and was thanked by the girls’ mother as well for staying calm in an incredibly difficult situation and applying a tourniquet that stopped the bleeding even before the first responders arrived!Trooper Kirkendall

Kami Wildman and Katlin Medjesky – Wood County Health Department

Kami Wildman and Katlin Medjesky brought a special guest with them on their trip to visit Clint in the studio this morning! A 6-foot skeleton named “Chatwick” who will be helping the Wood County Health Department throughout October to spread awareness about health literacy! He will be “shadowing” each division at the WCHD and be featured in posts on Facebook.

Akash Singh, a proud Bowling Green State University graduate and owner of Gas & Express Marts BG Marathon, had some special customers stop by his location at 535 N. Main St. Tuesday. Clint chats with VP for Athletics Strategy and Director of Athletics Derek van der Merwe about why it’s important for BGSU Athletics to support event the smaller businesses in our community.
