The variety of masking that's taking place in Wood County schools was a topic of discussion at Thursday night's Wood County Health Department Board meeting. Perrysburg Schools parent Andrew Bucher appealed to the county health board to relax mask mandates and quarantine rules in schools. Health Commissioner Ben Robison explained the Departments guidance plus Board member Bob Midden volunteered to compile and post peer reviewed studies that show masking in schools is an effective way to control Covid spread.

Director Denise Niese and Dr. Nancy Orel commented on the 5.9% increase in Social Security announced this week, Denise talked about supply chain management issues and notification of a $350,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Aging and he got an update on their Levy Campaign.

State Representative Haraz Ghanbari talked with Clint about visiting Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper Josef M. Brobst of the Findlay Post Thursday while he was recovering from being shot during a traffic stop along I-75. At approximately 1:30 p.m Thursday the suspect, Robert Tramaine Hathorn, was captured on County Road 223 near Trenton Ave. in Findlay.
