Great to have Lisa Heyman, whose family owns Freddie’s Auto Spa, and General Manager Ethan Evans, join Clint to talk about this state-of-the-art facility that opened last summer at 1111 N. Main St in the City of Bowling Green, Ohio.

During Clint’s chat with Bowling Green City Schools, Ohio Superintendent Dr. Ted Haselman, they talk about some outstanding achievements from students this fall like Cheer-leading, Bowling Green Bobcat Hockey, Bowling, Swimming and Bobcat-A-Thon!!

Clint sat down with the Dean of the Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University, Dr. Jennifer Percival, after Board trustees approval to ensure BGSU remains a leader in innovative student and workforce-focused programs. The board of trustees approved the creation of a new Accelerated Bachelor of Applied Studies in General Business.

Could be trouble anytime Jeff Hobbs and Dave Schultz stop by the studio to visit Clint, then you add Wood County Sr. Fair Board Director Paul Perry, who called in, and WOW! Listen to all three as Clint receives an update on the 59th National Tractor Pulling Championships, Thursday night’s Sr. Fair Board meeting, and another special collaboration between the 2 to help the Wood Lane – Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities!

Bit of a Dance Party broke out after Clint’s visit this morning with Marissa Kohloff from the Wood County Museum and Maria Simon from the Wood County District Public Library! Great information about upcoming programs at both locations and a unique collaboration that’s in the works, then I asked if they wanted to pick a song for our “dance tracks” portion of the Friday show… They did!!

Will Miller has been selected as the new President of Flag City Honor Flight succeeding long time President Steve Schult. Clint invites Will to share his long history as a board member plus tell us more about this 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to providing Veterans in Northwest Ohio and surrounding areas with the opportunity to visit their war memorials in Washington, D.C., at no cost.

Congratulations to the The Ohio State University Extension -Wood County 4-H for their “4-H Hands to Larger Service Day” was recognized as one of the outstanding 4-H community service events in Ohio and will be recognized at the Ohio 4-H Conference in March!

Stephanie Paris, Vice President Commercial Officer at The State Bank and Trust Company in Bowling Green, co-hosted with Clint Tuesday morning which provided the opportunity to congratulate the City of Bowling Green, Ohio office who was a table sponsor for the annual Galentines – Bowling Green OH event, which raised more than $22,000 for local women pursuing business at Bowling Green State University!

Bowling Green resident Sheila Brown is resurrecting a variety show format she produced years ago at Bowling Green State University. With auditions now underway and the call out for technical and stage help, the show will be staged at the Bowling Green City Schools Performing Arts Center, 540 W. Poe Road, Bowling Green, on Aug. 7 at 8 p.m., and Aug. 8 at 7 p.m.

Legacy Farmers Cooperative update comes to us from Stacie Anderson, Agronomy Sales Manager at Legacy. In addition to giving us a regular update on preparations for the upcoming planting season, Stacie took the time to congratulate several members of the Legacy team that are celebrating an Anniversary of service including several that have been with Legacy for over 20 years! Stacie also wished a special person a Happy Birthday today!

Clint enjoys Friday morning visits with our friends at the Wood County District Public Library but it was a sad chat as it was Kelsey’s last visit to the Dave Horger media and production studio. Kelsey did bring in Jessica to “show her the ropes” and we got to not only find out what’s new at the WCDPL but DJ Kelsey got to pick her final song.

We were also able to connect Charese Botjer from the Wood Lane – Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities who was able to tell the coach about the “Celebrity Basketball” fundraising game that’s taking place as part of the kickoff of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month on Thursday, March 5, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the BG Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Road.
