Elizabeth Strawman, Jr. Fair Queen and Cayla Frank, Jr Fair 1st runner up – Wood County Fair

It’s been over 10 months since Cayla Frank was selected as Junior Fair 1st runner up and Elizabeth Strawman was picked to be the Junior Fair Queen at the 2025 Wood County Fair and they chat with Clint on Friday morning’s show telling him that it’s been a whirlwind of appearances and obligations, AND they’ve loved every minute of it!

The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club – Ohio was pleased to welcome Lieutenant Jim Ritterbach of the Bowling Green Fire Division as the featured speaker at its meeting today. Lieutenant Ritterbach, who recently retired after 38 years as a firefighter, 31 with the Bowling Green Fire Division, was recognized as the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club’s Firefighter of the Year!

Jennifer Campos, Director of Communications and Public Relations – BG City Schools

Even though BG City Schools, Ohio are out for the summer, there’s still lots of activity on the campus according to Jennifer Campos, Director of Communications and Public Relations.Jennifer does a wonderful job of “pinch hitting” for Superintendent Ted Haselman. Clint shares Jennifer’s update about the many things keeping her busy in her first 2 years plus what’s going on now in the buildings to support kids while school is out and some of her goals for fall of 2026.

Summer is the time for Dr. Kate Dellenbusch, Bowling Green State University Teaching Professor & Planetarium Director, to visit Clint and go over a wonderful lineup of exciting new programs and classics that are being shown FREE at the University Planetarium. Kate and Clint preview the summer schedule, starting June 11th plus a special “America 250 in the Planetarium” series of programs in July.

President of the Better Business Bureau and Better Business Bureau Ethics Foundation Inc of Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan, Lane Montz stops by to chat with Clint and share his thoughts as well as a description of a Scam Tracker online tool designed and created by the Better Business Bureau to allow consumers and businesses to report, investigate, and avoid scams.

Conner Beck, Volunteer Firefighter – Bradner Fire Dept

After a fire on the morning of June 5th destroyed his uncle’s home, 4th generation Bradner volunteer firefighter Conner Beck wanted to do something to help him rebuild. Turns out the community did too. Clint chats with Conner about the show of support from Bradner and surrounding communities that have contributed to a GoFundMe account that’s been set up that’s approaching 100 contributions!

Michael Dauterman – Blooming Green Front Porch Flower Pot Challenge

City of Bowling Green, Ohio resident Michael Dauterman shares with Clint a unique FREE Family Friendly event that would also be a community beautification project. So, with the help of his wife Nicole, two daughters Sway and Journey, and a handful of volunteers working together Blooming Green Front Porch Flower Pot Challenge was born!

Sunday, June 7th, was National Cancer Survivors Day. This is an annual celebration that honors those who have survived cancer, provides inspiration for those recently diagnosed, and offers support to families and the community. Clint shares his conversation with Stan Korducki, President/CEO of the Wood County Hospital, and the inspirational story of Gary Pierce.

Tyler Briggs and Katlin Medjesky – Wood County Health Department

Tyler Briggs and Katlin Medjesky from the Wood County Health Department stopped in the studio to announce a new program the Health Department is launching this Friday, June 5th. June is Responsible Fatherhood Month,Tyler and Katlin are working on a community wide passport program lasting throughout the month, includes a celebration event scheduled for end of the June.

Mark Wolford, Mayor – Portage Ohio CDBG Project

The Wood County Planning Commission reviewed 5 applications during Tuesday night’s meeting for $310,000 in funding for PY 2026 CDBG Project Applications. Applications were for projects from the Ability Center, Bloomdale, Custar, Portage and Walbridge with Custar, Portage and the Ability Center receiving support. Clint shares his interview with Portage Mayor Mark Wolford.

Horizon Youth Theatre is proud to present “Be More Chill,” directed by Mikayla Trimpey, through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
