The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is about people. The Chamber is staffed with professional people who are committed to making Bowling Green an even better place to live and do business. A Chamber investor benefits from discounted programs that include health care and workman’s compensation. The Chamber offers educational opportunities through programs, seminars, speakers and workshops, on topics pertinent to the business world. The Chamber offers investors a variety of opportunities in which they can see a return on their investment with our organization. Investors can take advantage of value added services, numerous marketing and promotion opportunities, or participate in our many other services.

HOW TO JOIN?
[ Application to Join the Chamber ]

Joining the Chamber can be simple.  Download our Investor Application, fill it out, and bring it in to the Chamber Office, along with your payment.  If you have any questions about the Application, feel free to call or stop in to the office; our helpful Chamber employees will be glad to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Anyone can be a investor in the Chamber; generally, investors include manufacturers, retailers, corporations, non-profit agencies, and even individuals. Besides being a vehicle to promote the networking system of area business – retail, individual, industrial, professional, manufacturers, and organizations – the chamber also provides programs and services.  Joining the Chamber is an opportunity to give back to your community.  As a Chamber investor, you are a part of a large networking system. The value of the community is of change and economic growth, for the betterment of all citizens. The primary goals of the Chamber are to strengthen and expand existing retail economy, to provide for the retention of current industry and the development of additional industry, to maintain communication in all aspects of the Chamber, and to influence City decisions, keeping abreast of legislative issues on the local, state and national levels affecting business.

The Business Advocacy Task Force presents Legislative Updates and Health Care Reform Updates each year, that help to keep you up-to-date on the law and regulation changes that affect your bottom line.

Business After Hours

An excellent forum for informal networking, BAHs allow investors to meet with others in a social atmosphere, in order to exchange business cards and acquire business leads.  It is a chance to meet new and prospective Chamber investors, and talk with long time friends.  Any Chamber investor can host a BAH - contact the Chamber today to schedule one at your location!

The Business Council provides seminars, workshops, business tips and presentations and professional training sessions that can help you maximize results, while minimizing your budget!  Lunch & Learn seminars are held bi-monthly, at investor locations.

Business Briefing & brew

A Business Briefing & brew is a great venue to share ideas, business cards, and a cup of coffee over great conversations with other investors. BB&b’s are held from 8am-9am on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, at an investor’s business location. It’s a great opportunity to showcase your business and to network with other investors!

Our weekly electronic newsletter

This weekly email is sent to all Chamber investors for whom we have an email address on file. The Chamber Chatter serves as an electronic means of keeping our investors abreast of all upcoming Chamber events and opportunities. Chatters offer weekly advertising opportunities for investors.

Economic Advertising Opportunities

Investors are eligible to choose from a variety of Chamber advertising options, including ads, sponsorship, and inserts. Contact the Chamber office for availability!

Group Health Insurance Discounts

The Chamber offers a discounted group health insurance plan. Check the insurance listings in your Investor Directory to contact an agent who can secure the Chamber discount for your organization.

Group Rating for Workers' Compensation

The BG Chamber of Commerce and CompManagement, Inc. have partnered to save members money through our workers’ compensation group rating discounts. The Investor Directory is a searchable list of all Chamber investors; it is a valuable consumer guide. The directory is designed to promote doing business with other Chamber investors. 

Leadership BG

An excellent way for you and your employees to become familiar with the Bowling Green Community and grow professionally. Each year a class of 20-25 business investors participates in the nine-month program designed to develop and enhance leadership skills and build community awareness.

Member 2 Member Discount Program

This program allows Chamber members to offer cost savings on good and services to other members.  It is a great marketing opportunity, and members can save significantly by utilizing the discounted services!

Referral Service

When the Chamber receives calls requesting services or products, the Chamber refers them exclusively to our investors. We mean business for our investors.

Ribbon Cuttings

Whether you are opening a new business or moving an established business to a new location, let the Chamber help you gain exposure by celebrating with a ribbon cutting or grand opening.

Usage of the Chamber's Meeting Room
