The Advocacy Task Force of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce announces a new Legislative Update with Ohio’s 5th District Congressman, Bob Latta on Friday, February 24, beginning at 8:00 a.m., in the Wood County Hospital’s Bachman-Keil Meeting Room.
Attendees will have the chance to meet and hear from Ohio’s 5th District Congressman, Bob Latta. Congressman Latta will share his perspective on current events taking place in our nation’s Capitol, as well as answer questions from attendees. Water and coffee will be provided.

About Congressman Latta: Congressman Robert "Bob" Latta (R- Bowling Green) is currently serving his third term in the United States House of Representatives after being re-elected in 2010. Congressman Latta currently serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee including the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, Environment and the Economy, and Health, in addition to serving as an Assistant Whip. In addition, he is the chair of Republican Study Committee Energy Task Force, co-chair of the Republican New Media Caucus and member of the Franking Commission. A lifelong resident of northwest Ohio, Congressman Latta graduated from Bowling Green Senior High School in 1974. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in 1978, and earned his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981. Congressman Latta and his wife Marcia reside in Bowling Green with their two teenage daughters, Elizabeth and Maria.

"The Value of a Wellness Program."

The Business Council of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce announces the next session in their series of HR workshops: "The Value of a Wellness Program." This seminar is designed to inform business owners and HR managers about the value of a wellness program; teach easy tips for your own wellness programs; and learn about local wellness program resources.

This is the second workshop of an ongoing HR series, presented by the Chamber's Business Council; the series will continue, with bi-monthly sessions in 2012.

About our Presenter: Jennifer Kiernan works with the Employers' Association as their Wellness Program Manager. The EA Health Plus program offers a full suite of wellness services to groups with 51 to 500 employees in the fully insured market. Jennifer works with companies in 19 counties throughout Northwest Ohio. She graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in the Health Promotion field. She is a trained Wellcoach and has multiple years of experience managing wellness programs. She has worked with hundreds of organizations to help them reach their wellness goals and to establish a culture of wellness for their employees.

This seminar will take place on February 28, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the conference room of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce (163 N Main Street, in Bowling Green).
